Venue
Welcome to the Net-Zero Future conference, where sustainability and innovation converge in the vibrant city of Cape Town, South Africa. Cape Town, renowned for its natural beauty and forward-thinking approach to renewable energy and circular economy approaches in the construction industry, provides the perfect backdrop for this prestigious event.
Cape Town is actively pursuing initiatives in solar, wind, and waste-to-energy. The city aims to source 10-20% of its electricity from renewables by 2030 and is pushing for the ability to procure power directly from independent producers, reducing reliance on Eskom’s coal-powered grid. Solar PV projects, wind farms in the Western Cape, and waste-to-energy initiatives are part of its green strategy. Despite national regulatory challenges, Cape Town continues to champion sustainability and transition toward a renewable energy future.
